Reflecting on the loss of Desmond Tutu, the following came out of my fingertips tonight.
I believe…
God is unchanging
no matter what I say,
or anyone else,
about what GOD is or isn’t,
GOD goes on BEING
not A BEING,
but the very ground of
BEING.
Perhaps GOD even
illuminates
NON BEING
with every creative
answer to incarnational
questions.
Is there anywhere
GOD is not?
To paraphrase Tillich,
GOD cannot be described.
In doing so,
GOD becomes an object
within the human mind,
and ceases to be GOD.
