Rooted,
SHE begins.
From the depth
of the meadow
Where SHE walks,
SHE observes
Glacial peaks
Forged by fire,
Yet draped in ice.
SHE walks
Upon the nutrient-rich
Soil in between,
Where wild flowers grow
Abundant
And rivers caress the land
Carving new formations.
Where individuals
Become communities
Crops feed the tribe
And horses gallop
Through the billowing
Blue mountain grass.
SHE persists.
Where barbed wire
Separates the land
Blood is shed
Humans battle
And the stench of death
Lingers…
Decomposition
Absorbing into Earth
Enriching soil
Bursting forth new LIFE!
SHE notices
Tiny sparks of green
Poking through
Blackened dirt
Renewed
In the meadow
Vessel
Container of LIFE.
